Author: In my years of experience of shopping car insurance policies I have always opted to buy my policy from a reputable agent. I have been buying my insurance policy from my trusted agent since the beginning of my insurance venture. I want you to know that agents are not that bad. From my point of view, my agent is just one like us who tries to make a living from honest and decent means.
There are a lot out there who are committing worse crimes than getting small amounts of service charges and commissions. It is no secret, my agent just like the other agents are making profits from the service charges from the efforts they exert to sell an insurance policy and from the commissions that they get from their sold insurance accounts. But I can tell you this, the service charge that reputable insurance agents are justifiable compared to the job that they can get done.
I will advise that you go for transacting with reputable agents for two main reasons- they get things done quickly and they are the masters of the trade. When I was new to getting car insurance, I cannot afford to go through all the car insurance companies out there. And if I can afford to do so, I do not think I can fully understand the computation that they will show me. Lucky for me I have a friend that referred an agent that she has been transacting for some years. In just a flash every card that I need to see is set on the table. The agent was even able to make me understand the benefits of the coverage that I am getting over the premium that I have to pay.
An addition to the fast service I got, the agent was even generous enough to show me car insurance comparison on rates and coverage. As you can see, I am buying from a free lance agent which means that he has access to many different insurance companies. The work that would have required a lot of my time was done for just a couple of justifiable bucks.
